It helps if you start with some support when you start looking at a wedding dress. If you get your bridesmaids and mums together to watch you try stuff on, you’ll feel a lot more at ease about what you should get. Generally no boys allowed of course, but that is only because you want to awe the men in the room when you finally walk down the aisle.

You may not even need to buy a wedding dress at all. If there is a family heirloom that you would actually like to wear on your big day, you should go for it. However, there is nothing wrong with wanting a dress of your own, so feel free to shop around until you have something that suits your wedding, your body shape, and your budget at the same time.
